Job Title: Administrative & Marketing Intern
Time Commitment: 8-24 hours per week
What is Bump Town?
Bump Town is a creative hub for the bay area music and artistic community, where musicians, music enablers, and audiences can meet, gain access to critical resources, and have a platform to share their work.
Bump Town exists to support the Bay Area’s music, performing arts, and fine arts community with:
Access to affordable performance & event space
Professional development opportunities and mentorship
Reporting Structure: Lyz Luke, Executive Director of Bump Town Duties & Responsibilities: Ramp up for our build out and our 2019 capital campaign.
Day to day administration/office upkeep
Support with our upcoming Kickstarter campaign
Light web editing and updates
Writing, editing blog posts, social media outreach, & electronic communication (Twitter, FB, Insta, Pinterest, blog, MailChimp, etc.)
Coordinating design, production and distribution of print collateral
Researching the competitive set and consistently provide new ideas to our marketing efforts
Utilizing current and new channels to recruit new clients and promote current clients
Researching upcoming local conferences and events in the music industry
Assist with generating content for E-Newsletters and press releases
Assisting with special events
Other tasks as needed
Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable providing service through email and phone correspondence
Strong attention to detail and ability to independently problem-solve
Ability to type quickly and accurately with proven skill to proofread own work
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs with the ability to become adept at the use of these and other computer programs and databases
Professional, responsible & team-oriented manner
Ability to work some weekends and evening hours as necessary

Student interns’ advisors will need to send appropriate paperwork and inform Bump Town of all requirements. Bump Town will complete required evaluations and check in throughout the course of the internship.
This is an unpaid internship.
School credit is available upon request.
Internships are based out of our offices in West Oakland, CA
